Crossings

 I walked this path before

I tremble as I see it

I know the destination

But I turn around again

It’s a sign they say

Seeing a shadow on the wall

It’s a path they say

Seeing the faith written out

But I don’t see it that way

So I walk away

Yet another time

The gates are open

Calling me in smiling

I take the other route

And find my own garden

A place I rest before I start

Yet another journey

I smile and say goodbye

An unchained spirit

My world is what I see

And a path stretched

Much beyond me…
