Puzzle

There is still one piece of the puzzle missing that can’t seem to be found although it fits perfectly to make the picture complete. But then such is life where the awaiting shores are not always discerned by the floating driftwood, searching for an anchor; where the blues keep company -longer than one would portray on a canvas with deft strokes. Time waits for no one – no, not even you! The one with the boat left a long time back, never to return. Call it destiny, a premonition or just a dream gone wrong… time to put that quill back on paper dragging that incomplete story at crossroads towards its destination…

Those termite eaten eaves whisper stories about relationships with their lotus bonds in a distant time. Rusted thoughts and dreams silently meander through those corridors. In its wake hope rekindles like a lamp lit at twilight by the beauteous women with silver anklets and jasmine blooms adorning her wet tresses; as she walks around the corridors towards the threshold whispering ‘Deepam’ Deepam‘ . Tapestries hung from the walls – a witness to irate words flung across, as the clan went down in history succumbing to power, greed and lust. Deluge

It started as a deluge, one untouched seed sprouted, blossomed and spread its fragrance. It flowed downstream serenaded by the sea and the shore afar. Like rivulets of dreams trickling down a glass pane; like the parched earth satiated by the rains; like the clouds hanging in anticipation below the blue sky I waited listening to the music of life. Those rusted strings of the Veena came to life, plucked and played by unknown fingers until the symphony engulfed the space between you and me. As it ebbed and flowed through my veins I became one with you; keeping me alive even in your absence…
